A little order. A lot of possibility.
Filter your dataset, organize groups, and turn records into useful lists.

Saved projects
Loading projects…
Each project saves its own filters, selected fields, field setup and generated values. Projects can share one read-only dataset without copying its source records. Changes save automatically.
Opening preferences
Applies when returning to Qgroup in this browser. Clearing filters keeps dataset values, assignments and selected export columns.
Dataset library
Read-only source records are stored once. New project starts with all rows and original fields; you can save different filters and create fields within each project.
Current project
Save project now saves dataset references, filters and row limits, selected columns, created fields and values, saved rules and print settings. The shared source dataset is read-only. Removing fields or creating values affects this project only. Duplicate full dataset copies the source records and current project setup into a separate dataset and project; Save matches as a new set materializes matching records.
Current project settings
Create another project on this dataset
Both options share the source records. Each project’s filters and created values are independent.
Project files & portable backups
Project file: filters, field setup and created values, with references to datasets already saved in your account. Import it later to open another project on those datasets. Portable backup: includes source records too, for offline recovery or another account. Neither file includes the original spreadsheet binary.
Results & actions
When checked, a leading apostrophe (single quote ') is added to text that a spreadsheet might treat as a formula. For example, =SUM(A1:A5) is exported as '=SUM(A1:A5). This helps keep it as text when opening the CSV. Text starting with =, +, -, @, tab or carriage return is protected; ordinary numeric values stay unchanged. Your saved dataset is unchanged.
Creates a separate saved dataset with the matching records and all fields. Opens the new set and keeps the current dataset available.
Row preview is hidden. Export includes every matching record, whether or not you preview it.
Dataset preview
The table shows selected columns. Select rows to assign values; editable fields can be changed directly. Exports include every matching row in the selected sort order. Click a column heading to sort.
Fields & filters
Each field lists its detected content type, distinct values, populated records and blanks. Open a value picker or a row preview to inspect actual values. Every filtered field must match.
Rows to include
Counts matching records in source order after field or advanced filters, before export sorting. Row 1 is the first match, excluding the header. For example, 100 rows starting at 501 includes matches 501–600. Export matches downloads this selection; no new dataset is required.
Select columns by name
Separate names with commas, semicolons or new lines. Review suggested fields and choose among ambiguous matches. Matching uses field names only. Applied columns control previews, exports and printed reports; new saved sets retain all fields.
Suggested matches
Export columns
Field value filters: Within one field, multiple selected values match any selected value (OR). Between fields, every filtered field must match (AND). Leaving a field's value selection empty includes any value for that field.
Examples: "Precinct" to find a field, or "Last name, First name, house#, street name" to review a column list.
